Carolyn Cook, MA, LPC

Carolyn is a native of Southern California. She graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2003 with a Masters in Counseling and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006.

While in St. Louis, Carolyn spent ten years working with mental health patients at a community outpatient behavioral health clinic where she also supervised. At the end of 2013, Carolyn, her husband, and 3 children moved to the Madison area and Carolyn took a position directing her church’s children’s ministry. Beginning January 2019 she is excited to start seeing clients in private practice again, both children and adults.

Carolyn practices cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and spiritual guidance. She has also started training in Brainspotting, a very effective trauma therapy. She believes compassion, understanding, and trust are important in the therapeutic process. The therapeutic relationship has much potential for bringing such relief and healing to your life. Her role as a therapist is to listen, come alongside teaching new skills, and challenge you to greater things in your life.

With a desire to walk with people that are hurting, she seeks to bring restoration and freedom in areas of focus including but not limited to: life transitions, trauma, infertility, and stress management.
